According to Patton Oswalt, a fiery electric guitarist standing on a war machine (whose name is the Doof Warrior!) wasn’t the only trick “Mad Max” director George Miller had up his sleeve. The comedian and film buff brought a “Deleted Scene” from Miller’s action blockbuster “Mad Max: Fury Road” to his guest spot on “Conan” last week, which featured Oswalt as a warm-up comic for the War Boys army.

“Hey Furiosa, I’d be Furiosa too if the barber gave me that haircut,” jokes Oswalt’s character while standing on top of a flaming war truck.

Conan enjoyed the scene, but had to agree that it deserved the cutting room floor. “I think [Miller] made the right call,” he said. “I just don’t think it calls for a stand-up comedian.” Oswalt tried to argue, but was eventually forced to admit defeat, quipping “I’ll see you on the DVD extras, my friend.”
