Watch: BBC Releases 'Sherlock' Short Sate Your Benedict Cumberbatch Cravings Until Season Three

Season three of “Sherlock,” BBC‘s wildly popular modern day take on Arthur Conan Doyle’s iconic detective starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, will premiere in the U.S. on PBS on January 19th at 10pm. But to tide over eager fans until then, BBC today released “Many Happy Returns,” a “Sherlock” mini-episode written by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat that offers a sense of what’s been happening to the characters in the two-year gap between the season, a time in which Dr. Watson (Freeman) and Detective Greg Lestrade (Rupert Graves) both believe Holmes (Cumberbatch) to be dead.
