“Billy on the Street” has made its grand return to the web with a little help from Emma Stone. The series, which aired its last two seasons on the cable network truTV (2015-17), debuted its new run of episodes as a web series. Emma Stone joins host Billy Eichner for a mad dash through New York City and not only gets shamed for not having an Instagram account, but also gets mistaken for Emma Watson after a bystander names “Harry Potter” as his favorite Stone movie.
Eicnher’s series aired for three seasons on FuseTV (2011-14) prior to its trueTV launch, which makes the new Emma Stone episode the first online-only “Billy on the Street” since the comedian uploaded the original batch of episodes on YouTube. The new run consists of eight “short-form episodes” produced by Funny or Die and new partner Lyft Entertainment.
Joining Stone on the new season are Tiffany Haddish, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Kate McKinnon. Stone’s appearance on “Billy” arrives just before her Netflix series, “Maniac,” makes its debut September 21. Watch the new episode below.
