HBO Sets June Premiere Dates Damon Lindelof's "The Leftovers," Final Season of "True Blood"

Damon Lindelof‘s new drama series, “The Leftovers,” along with the seventh and final season of fan favorite, “True Blood,” will premiere in June, HBO announced today.

“The Leftovers,” which received a 10-episode order for its first season, will premiere on Sunday, June 15th at 10pm ET, immediately following the “Game of Thrones” season finale. “True Blood” will take over the “Game of Thrones” 9pm slot starting Sunday, June 22nd.

Based on Tom Perrota’s novel of the same name, “The Leftovers” tells the story of life on Earth after “The Rapture” — or what might be “The Rapture,” as no one is quite certain why and how certain people disappeared, while others were left behind. Lindelof co-created the show with Perrota and is also the showrunner.

Although on its last lap, “True Blood” seems intent on going out in style, as demonstrated by its foretelling tombstone-happy trailer. Watch it below.
