Watch: David Tennant Confesses a Secret in New ‘Broadchurch’ Clip

Expectations are high for the return of “Broadchurch,” the critically-beloved crime drama from Chris Chibnall, starring David Tennant and Olivia Colman. The second season, set to premiere Wednesday, March 4, continues to focus on the fallout of the murder of 11 year-old Danny Latimer, while also introducing new storylines and characters. Among new cast additions are Marianne Jean-Baptiste (“Secrets and Lies”) and Charlotte Rampling (“Restless”). 

In a clip from the second season (posted below), Alec (Tennant) confesses a secret to his partner Ellie (Colman). It’s a rich and emotional moment, evocative and mysterious as “Broadchurch” so often is, and it complicates Alec’s reasoning for arriving at Broadchurch.
