Sci-Fi Short ‘Breathe’ Brings VFX to a Climate Change Parable

Logline: In a world that can no longer sustain trees, a family takes a day trip to behold one of the last few preserved in a glass dome.
Elevator Pitch:
This short film seeks to setup a familiar scenario and end with a twist – a twist that will bring thought about how we effect our planet. A world without trees is not a great world to live in. By showing something as common and beautiful as trees becoming scarce, we create a simple metaphor for what we can lose if we don’t raise the bar to stop climate change. This is a film that entertains, provokes thought, and creates a call to action.

About the Film:
The concept of “Breathe” was developed over a year. Initially starting as a seedling of an idea to a fully developed short film. The way we treat our environment and the outcome of this, is an important concept in contemporary society. Our goal was to create an engaging story, while still effectively get across a point. Before we know it, we might not have the same planet we once did. A simple road film between grandparents and their grandchildren was the perfect vehicle for our concept. Utilizing VFX to help get the concept across is where this film will shine.
