Hail to the “Supergirl” Chief: “Wonder Woman” herself, Lynda Carter, has signed on to appear on multiple episodes of the series as it moves to The CW in Season 2.
But she won’t be playing the iconic comic book character this time. Carter will star as the President of the United States starting in episode 3.
The CW hasn’t shared any information beyond that, but Carter joins other actors from the DC Comics TV universe who have made their way to “Supergirl,” including Dean Cain. And, of course, current DC TV stars are now popping up, including Grant Gustin as “The Flash.”

Carter, of course, famously played “Wonder Woman” on the hit 1970s series. This also isn’t the first time Carter has made a return to the world of DC Comics on TV, as she also guested on an episode of “Smallville.”
Carter is the latest big-name talent to join “Supergirl” in a recurring role, as Tyler Hoechlin was recently cast as Superman.

Besides “Wonder Woman,” Carter’s TV credits include “The Muppet Show,” “Partners in Crime” and “Two and a Half Men.” In video games, Carter lent her voice to “Fallout 4” also wrote five songs.
