Kaleidoscope Acquires NYC Dirty Cop Documentary ‘The Seven Five’

Kaleidoscope Film Distribution (KFD) has acquired worldwide sales for Tiller Russell’s documentary, “The Seven Five.” Described as the “cop version of ‘Goodfellas,'” the film tells the story of Michael Dowd, widely considered to be one of New York City’s dirtiest cops.

According to the film’s official synopsis, “Down led a one man rampage through the streets of East New York, robbing drug dealers, stealing drugs and hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash in the late 80s and early 90s. His eventual arrest in 1992 led to the biggest corruption scandal in New York City History.”
