The 11th Democratic primary debate airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and will broadcast live from Washington, DC, after being moved from Arizona out of caution over the coronavirus outbreak.

The Candidates

Two Democratic candidates have qualified to participate in this debate:

  • Former Vice President Joe Biden
  • Sen. Bernie Sanders (Vermont)

To be included in tonight’s debate, a candidate needed to meet either a delegate or polling threshold, as determined by the DNC. Hawaii Reo. Tulsi Gabbard is still running for the presidency, but she did not meet the DNC’s requirement to participate in the debate, which states that a candidate needs at least 20% of delegates awarded so far. Gabbard has two delegates so far.

The Moderators

The debate between Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vermont) and former Vice President Joe Biden will be moderated by Univision’s Ilia Calderón, who will join Dana Bash and Jake Tapper from CNN. The moderator was originally set to be Jorge Ramos of Univision, but he was potentially exposed to the coronavirus.

Where and How to Watch

There are a number of opportunities to watch the Democratic debate.

The debate will air exclusively on CNN, CNN en Español, CNN International, and Univision, and can be streamed live, without requiring a cable login, on CNN’s homepage, on mobile devices via CNN’s apps, and on CNNgo apps for Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire, Chromecast, Android TV, and other set tops.
