Elevator Pitch:
When her college dormitory balance is discovered unpaid, Alicia and her hardworking but cash-strapped mom Valerie must find a way to procure the funds.

About the Film:
Growing up, I loved teen movies and I always had a fantasy that I would make one. I wanted to create a film featuring young black girls who were smart and raunchy. Black girls who had some family struggles but who didn’t let their struggles define them. In other words, Black girls like many of my friends!

Now we finally have that project! We know that there is a large community of people that are desperate to see more diverse images of black girls. We see ourselves as part of a larger movement of artists who want to #createincolor.

Current Status: We are fundraising for production costs to film in early summer 2016.
