'Mr. Robot' Postpones Tonight's Season Finale Due Virginia Shooting

This afternoon, USA Network released a statement announcing Episode 10 of its hit summer drama “Mr. Robot” has been postponed due to a scene that bears resemblance to this morning’s fatal shootings of a reporter and cameraperson for CBS local station WDBJ7 in Roanoke, Virginia. The statement reads:

“The previously filmed season finale of ‘Mr. Robot’ contains a graphic scene similar in nature to today’s tragic events in Virginia. Out of respect to the victims, their families and colleagues, and our viewers, we are postponing tonight’s episode. Our thoughts go out to all those affected during this difficult time.”

Instead, USA will rerun last week’s episode, “eps1.8_m1rr0r1ng.qt.” The season finale, “eps1.9_zer0-day.avi,” will air Wednesday, September 2 at 10pm.

Earlier today, USA released a special web page counting down to 10pm EST tonight. It is now offline.
