While “The Leftovers” may polarize whenever its more supernatural elements take center stage, one of the show’s most consistent strong points has been in its depiction of how a real world like ours would adapt to the disappearance of 2 percent of the world’s population. This high point of the show is showcased in the new clip, in which Durst takes to court in order to divorce her departed husband after her brother bluntly revealed in a previous episode he had been cheating on her. By taking everyday topics such as divorce proceedings and giving them a post-rapture tweak, “The Leftovers” continues to be an intriguing, thought-provoking journey.

Watch the clip below and catch the new episode this Sunday at 10pm on HBO.
