Amazon Studios has acquired the SXSW-winning independent feature “Creative Control” for theatrical and online releases. The film’s writer-director Benjamin Dickinson also stars in the film about a young advertising executive who attempts to use virtual reality glasses to carry out an illicit affair with his best friend’s girlfriend.
Amazon is set to partner with Magnolia Pictures for the film’s theatrical release sometime in 2016. This will be followed by an online release on Amazon as part of their original films department.
