Terry Crews is ready to accept Adam Venit‘s apology now that the former talent agent and executive has resigned from William Morris Endeavor (WME). Crews marked the occasion by publishing to social media Venit’s full apology letter that was sent to Crews earlier this year on March 22. Crews revealed last fall that Venit groped him at a 2016 party in Los Angeles and has been the most prominent male voice in the #MeToo anti-harassment movement.

“The intent of this letter is to start a dialogue in service of taking responsibility for the emotional challenge that this experience has caused you and your family,” Venit’s letter begins. “I have dedicated myself to spiritual self-discovery in an effort to be the best person I can be for the rest of my life, and hopefully make difference to me, my family and everyone I know.”

Venit continued by writing his intent with the letter is to have both Crews and himself “heal from this situation and move forward.”

“I know that you didn’t ask for any of this,” Venit writes. “Again, I take full responsibility for us being here now, together in this situation. I am sorry for all of it…I have no right to expect your forgiveness, but I am asking for it nonetheless.”

Crews’ accompanied the letter with a tweet that said he had finally accepted Venit’s apology when he resigned from VME earlier this month. The actor testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee in June about his experience with sexual harassment. Read Venit’s full letter in the post below.
