Although Frank Pavich‘s documentary, “Jodorowsky’s Dune” is billed as a film that chronicles a legendary cinematic failure — specifically Chilean filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky‘s failed attempt to produce a screen adaptation of Frank Herbert’s storied science fiction novel “Dune” — it is perhaps more accurate to refer to the film as a celebration of the residual accomplishments that emerged from said failure.
Available on Blu-Ray and digital today, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has provided Indiewire with an exclusive clip from “Jodorowsky’s Dune” for cinephiles to check out a 10-minute sequence from the beginning of the film.
The clip, which can be viewed below, focuses on showcasing and discussing the more than 3,000 images Jodorowsky commissioned French Artist Jean Giraud a.k.a. Moebius to draw up during pre-production for “Dune.”
