After “Nashville” was cancelled over at ABC, CMT quickly resurrected the country music drama. Now, as they try to make the transition, it’s time to see which of the cast members will stick around.
According to TVLine, the entire original cast is almost set to return. Among those who will continue as series regulars for Season 5 include Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Charles Esten, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Clare Bowen, Lennon Stella, Maisy Stella and Chris Carmack.
Previous reports also stated that Aubrey Peeples and Will Chase would not be returning to the series, but Variety learned that both actors are in talks to appear in a couple of episode to wrap up their storylines.
Nothing as this moment has been confirmed by either Lionsgate or CMT.

The fifth season of “Nashville” will include 22 episodes and continue the major cliffhanger ending seen on the Season 4 finale. Fans last saw Juliette (Panettiere) up in the air as the plane carrying the singer lost radio contact. The studio had shot an alternative ending that would reunite the star with her estranged husband Avery, but later discarded it.
Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz will continue as showrunners for Season 5.
