'Memoria' Exclusive Clip: James Franco Confronts Sam Dillon About Disturbing Short Story

Based on James Franco‘s “Palo Alto Stories” and “A California Childhood,” the new film “Memoria,” follows Ivan Cohen (Sam Dillon), a young man searching for meaning beyond his stifling Palo Alto life. He’s dissatisfied with his group of slacker friends as well as being ignored by the girl he loves. Neither his dysfunctional family nor his teachers understand him as Ivan tries to find his place in the world, which may lead him down a path from which he can never return. Described as “poignant” and “haunting,” “Memoria” sets its sights on adolescent angst and the memories that define our past, present, and future. Watch an exclusive clip above featuring Ivan talking to his English teacher Mr. Wyckoff, played by James Franco, about a disturbing short story he wrote.
