USA Network‘s newest original drama “Damnation” isn’t based on the Great Depression taught in schools nationwide. Instead, it’s a fictional account of cultural revolution. The network has released a new trailer for the series, which is set to premiere Tuesday, November 7 at 10/9 p.m.

“Damnation” tells the tale of Iowa preacher Seth Davenport (Killian Scott) who vows to instigate a farmer’s strike. “If your neighbor is siding with wealth,” Davenport pleads in the recently released trailer, “then you need to recognize that neighbor for what he is — the enemy.”

Seth fights corruption and corporate greed unknowingly beside a professional strikebreaker, Creeley Turner (Logan Marshall-Green), who has been hired by an industrialist tycoon. But as Turner and Davenport are set to squabble, those around them don’t know about their secret, violent past.

While the war between the rich and the poor is far from fiction, “Damnation” sets to tackle media corruption and fiscal misconduct in this dramatized Western, with a lot more gun violence. Viewers will be faced with how the show relates to the modern day, as the plaguing wage gap rampantly divides the current United Staes. Featuring crooked cops, big bosses, and a whole mess of blood, executive producers Tony Tost and David McKenzie hope to astonish with theatrical cynicism in this culturally relevant timepiece.

The series also stars Sarah Jones, Chasten Harmon, Melinda Page Hamilton, Christopher Heyerdahl, and Joe Adler, with executive producers including Tony Tost (“Longmire”), Adam Kane (“American Gods”), James Mangold (“Logan”), Guymon Casady (“Game of Thrones”), and Daniel Rappaport (“Office Space”) on behalf of Entertainment 360. Universal Cable Productions co-produces the series alongside Netflix, who is granted first-run rights to the series outside of the U.S.
