Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy Face Off in Official ‘The Revenant’ Posters

After teasing the wilderness-heavy plot of “The Revenant” in a gorgeous teaser poster, 20th Century Fox is continuing the marketing campaign with two official one-sheets that put the battle between Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy front and center.  

The latest drama from Oscar winner Alejandro G. Iñárritu stars DiCaprio as American explorer Hugh Glass. While on an exhibition out West, Glass is brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by members of his own team, led by Tom Hardy’s John Fitzgerald. Injured but alive, Glass embarks through the wilderness and endures a harsh winter in the pursuit of vengeance and redemption.

After leaving out DiCaprio entirely in the teaser poster, the actor now dominates the official poster, as does Hardy. Each actor gets an intense closeup on their respective posters, teasing the film’s arduous road to redemption.

“The Revenant” opens in select theaters on Christmas before expanding nationwide January 8. Check out the new posters below.
