Tom Cruise and James Corden Recreate Classic Roles From ‘Top Gun’ to ‘Mission: Impossible’ With Green Screen — Watch

Tom Cruise has cemented himself in Hollywood history with a career spanning over 30 years and roles in classic films. On Wednesday night’s “The Late Late Show,” the actor and James Corden paid homage to Cruise’s career by recreating scenes from his extensive filmography.

They began with “Top Gun,” wearing aviators and olive bomber jackets they both said the iconic line, “I feel the need, the need for speed.” Cruise and Corden then kept transitioning to the next films by rapidly changing outfits and hairdos. The duo covered everything from “Days of Thunder,” “Rain Man,” “Tropic Thunder,” “The Last Samurai” to “Interview With the Vampire.”

They also went through every single  “Mission: Impossible” film, pretending to hang from the ceiling, riding motorcycles, climbing a building and even jumping on a moving plane.

The crowd went wild when they did the “show me the money” scene from “Jerry Maguire” and Cuba Gooding Jr. made a special appearance to show Corden how it’s done. “If you’re gonna do it, let me do it right,” he said. And of course it wouldn’t be a Cruise movie montage without the “Risky Business” dance scene. Check out the video below.

Cruise’s latest film, “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back,” opens this Friday, October 21.
