What year is this? That’s just one of the questions James Corden must have found himself asking last night on “The Late Late Show” when he found his guest, one Kyle MacLachlan, had somehow managed to turn the green room red à la everyone’s favorite interdimensional hub in “Twin Peaks.”
Corden initially thinks it’s a joke, of course: “This must have taken you a while, huh?” he asks his guest. Channeling his inner Coop — or Dougie, or Evil Coop, or Richard — MacLachlan responds to all of his host’s queries backwards. Corden tries to do likewise, but finds himself unable to replicate that unique skill; he’s even more freaked out when they’re joined by Judi Dench, who also seems to have been hanging out with the Man From Another Place.
The two actors drop the act when Corden leaves, an opportunity no one was afford on “Twin Peaks.” Watch the full bit below.
