In a new clip from Danny Boyle’s “Steve Jobs,” Kate Winslet, who plays marketing executive Joanna Hoffman, does what few others can and stands up to Jobs (Michael Fassbender), telling him he better “fix it” in regards to his relationship with his daughter.
With sadness, anger and passion, Winslet runs a powerful gamut of emotions in the one-and-a-half minute scene, with Aaron Sorkin’s typically sharp dialogue hitting hard. The clip gives only a small preview of the film, which is sure to factor heavily into awards season debates with both Winslet and Fassbender giving typically strong performances.
“Steve Jobs” is currently in limited release, and the film will expand to theaters nationwide on October 23. Watch the clip below, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.
