As the stars look down in witness, it appears as though Relativity Media’s reboot of “The Crow” has found its leading man: Jason Momoa, he of “Game of Thrones” and “Aquaman” fame. Mashable is reporting that the actor is in talks to star as Eric Draven in the long-in-the-works project, while his own Instagram appears to confirm it (below).
Alex Proyas’ 1994 original is a cult classic that also serves as a memorial for its star, the gone-too-soon Brandon Lee, who was killed during production when a gun used in a scene fired a defective blank. Conspiracy theories have arisen regarding the incident, not least because controversy also surrounds the death of the actor’s father, martial-arts icon Bruce Lee.

The reboot has been in one stage of development or another since 2008, during which time several potential directors and stars have been attached and dropped out. With the news of Momoa’s potential casting come several other things to ponder: When will the film begin shooting? Who else will appear alongside the former Khal Drogo? These are questions for wise men with skinny arms.
