As the release day for the fabled “Mad Max: Fury Road” Black & Chrome Edition draws ever-closer (on December 6th to be exact, clocking in at a little over two months, not that we’re counting or anything), Los Angelean fans of the film will be able to see it in all its chrome-tinted glory during a special theatrical release this fall.

The Black and Chrome version of the 2015 film is getting a special theatrical release at the 2016 SpectreFest in Los Angeles on November 1, a full month ahead of its Blu-ray release.

The film is being rereleased as a part of a two-film collection featuring the full-color theatrical release as well as the long-awaited black-and-white version, known as the “Black and Chrome Edition.” Also, all four films in the “Mad Max” franchise are being released in the High Octane Collection, which also includes over three hours of new documentary footage of the “Mad Max” movies and an introduction by director George Miller on his original vision for “Fury Road.” Fans of the adrenaline-pumping, free-wheeling series can get their hands on the High Octane Collection on December 6th.

For those lucky enough to get tickets, they’ll be experiencing what Miller calls the “best version” of the film on the big screen. For everyone else, fear not: Valhalla awaits us, and it’s in the form of an Amazon pre-order. Read more about this at The Film Stage.
