As we await the start of the 2015 SXSW Film Festival, an eery new trailer for the Steven Piet directed film “Uncle John” has premiered.
“Uncle John” centers on the disappearance of a small town bully turned born-again Christian named Dutch. No one suspects John, a well-known and respected member of the community, of anything sinister, except, that is, for Dutch’s brother, Danny. John’s nephew Ben is eventually wrapped up in the ordeal when he visits the place in which he grew up. The trailer features no dialogue, only imagery and sound to convey the film’s eery mood.
“Uncle John” will make its debut on March 16 in the narrative competition section of the festival. Watch the tense trailer below.
