In 2008, Meryl Streep gave an interview with Entertainment Weekly’s Christine Spine. Now, in this new video provided by PBS Digital Studios’ “Blank on Blank” series, we get to hear what they talked about and listen to Streep speak about beauty and the reality of how looks can affect her career.

In the video, which features an animated version of Streep combined with the audio from the interview, the actress laughs about topping a worst dressed list, playing a 90-year-old woman while at Yale and auditioning for Jessica Lange’s part in the 1976 version of “King Kong.”
“Blank on Blank” has also featured animated versions of interviews with Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Heath Ledger and David Bowie.
