Despite the Tribeca Film Festival hogging much of the spotlight, a number of other worthy events took place over this past week, keeping iPOP full of fun activity.

Manhattan played host to two big screenings: Mark Ruffalo’s feature directorial debut “Sympathy for Delicious,” and Kenneth Branagh’s Marvel summer blockbuster “Thor.”

Over in Illinois, the 13th annual Roger Ebert’s Film Festival kicked off with Robbie Pickering’s SXSW Grand Jury Prize winner “Natural Selection.”

On the West Coast, the San Francisco International Film Festival attracted the likes of Ewan McGregor, there to support the opening night film “Beginners,” and Oliver Stone, who showed up to accept the Founder’s Directing Award.

And back in New York, “Bellflower” filmmakers Vincent Grashaw, Joel Hodge and Evan Glodell showed off the film’s beast, the Medusa, at the New York International Auto Show.
