Well Go USA Entertainment has acquired North American distribution rights to Ariel Kleiman‘s feature directorial debut, “Partisan,” announced Variety earlier today. The drama, which stars Vincent Cassel as a trainer of child assassins, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and won the World Cinema Special Jury Award for Cinematography.
Co-written by Kleiman and Sarah Cyngler, the drama focuses on the 11-year-old son of Cassel’s character (played by Jeremy Chabriel ) as he begins to think for himself while living on an isolated compound. The movie also stars Florence Mezzara and Alex Balaganskiy.
The deal was brokered by Well Go USA’s Doris Pfardrescher with UTA Independent Film Group and Protagonist Pictures on behalf of production.
