‘West Side Story,’ ‘The Master’ and ‘Interstellar’ Included in ‘See It Big! 70MM’ Film Series

While digital projection is helping us make strides in filmmaking, there is still something inherently unique about watching movies shot on film — the colors feel brighter, the sound feels richer and attending the theater is filled with a sense of purpose. While film projections may feel like a thing of the past, the Museum of the Moving Image is here to let you relive your favorite films spanning from 1961 to 2014. 

This summer the museum will present its “See it Big! 70mm” film series every weekend from August 7-30. Eight films shot on 70mm film will be shown in 70mm prints in the Sumner M. Redstone theater for audiences around the city to enjoy. The full schedule is included below, courtesy of the Museum of the Moving Image.
