‘Fast 8’ First Look: Charlize Theron Is Badass In New Villain Role
Charlize Theron is ready for a fight in the first image released of the actress in the upcoming action flick “Fast 8.”
Shared by the film’s official Twitter account Friday morning, the photo shows Theron walking into a gun shop, with her long blond hair in a ponytail, a Metallica T-shirt and leather jacket.
“Our crew has faced former military, mercenaries & more. Now they meet Cipher,” reads the message accompanying the tweet. Theron is set to play the badass villain in the next installment of the “Fast & Furious” franchise. Her character is pitched as the “greatest adversary ever” for Dom and the rest of the gang.

Plot details are sparse, but the eighth movie is set for the first time in New York City, with filming taking place in Cuba and Cleveland.
Directed by F. Gary Gray (“Straight Outta Compton”), Scott Eastwood and “Game of Thrones” actor Kristofer Hivju are among the new faces joining the squad, along with returning cast members Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, Ludacris and Tyrese Gibson.

Theron is currently promoting her latest film “Last Face,” directed by Sean Penn. The film received negative reviews when it was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this week, with Penn defending and standing by his film.
“Fast 8” races into theaters April 14, 2017.
