With “Daredevil” and “Jessica Jones” already part of its superhero roster, Netflix has released the trailer for its third Marvel series. “Luke Cage” comes to the streaming service next month, with Mike Colter in the title role. Alfre Woodard, Mahershala Ali, Simone Missick, Frank Whaley and Theo Rossi all co-star.

First introduced as a supporting character on “Jessica Jones,” Cage is, like Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Daredevil (Charlie Cox) a fellow Defender in the world of Marvel; Netflix will also go on to air “Iron Fist” and “The Defenders,” a sort of TV version of “The Avengers.”

All episodes of “Luke Cage” season one are available to stream on September 30.
