Formerly the West Coast Executive Editor for TVGuide.com, Nguyen will focus on organizing and strategizing IndieWire TV’s major projects and features, along with tracking trends, covering breaking news, and other events and festivals such as Comic-Con and the Television Critics Association press tour.

She will report to Executive Editor Michael Schneider out of the PMC-owned Los Angeles offices. Schneider said that “Hanh’s tremendous experience both writing and editing at TVGuide.com and Zap2It.com will serve IndieWire well as we continue to dramatically expand our TV coverage. Not only does she have a keen eye for TV worth watching, but she’s plugged in with who’s creating and producing programming during this era of Peak TV.”

Meanwhile, Dry will cover all forms of new media as IndieWire’s Digital Critic, everything from web series to the burgeoning field of virtual reality. She will report to Deputy Editor and Chief Critic Eric Kohn out of the New York base. Kohn said that, “Jude’s a fun, feisty writer with her pulse on the zeitgeist of digital culture. She is ideally equipped to explore this emerging terrain from a critical perspective.”

Nguyen’s work has also appeared in many outlets, such as LA Weekly, CNET, Gamespot, Tech Republic and TV.com. She began her career working in publicity at then-leading independent production company Casey-Werner.
