Watch: ‘Hannibal’ Season 3 Trailer Commences the Hunt and Offers…Forgiveness?

“Hannibal” fans must be downright salivating by now.

After the will-they-or-won’t-they waiting period regarding the NBC series’ cancellation, fannibals rejoiced at the renewal news in May 2014. Then it was announced at Comic Con in July that the third season would mind the novels of “Hannibal” and “Hannibal Rising,” before starting the “Red Dragon” plot late in the season. Creator Bryan Fuller even teased the appearance of Clarice Starling, or at least mentioned their goal to include the second-most-famous character of Thomas Harris’ novels. 

Add to the fervor a growing cast, including everyone’s favorite “X-Files” actress Gillian Anderson, and anticipation for Season 3 had to boiling over. But then NBC turned down the heat last week during its TCA presentation, when it announced plans to push the premiere date back to this summer. 

Consider this an apology.

Below you’ll find the first trailer for “Hannibal” Season 3, and it sure is a doozy. We won’t spoil any of it or even tease out possibilities (other than to say please don’t let Season 3 be some weird coma dream). Just watch and enjoy. Hopefully it will be enough to tide you over until summer.
