Big brands paired with big Hollywood-esque workings: it seems to be all the rage in fashion world as of late.
Quite similar to Baz Luhrmann’s glitzy and steamy, Gatsby-inspired Chanel No. 5 campaign, director Park Chan-wook (“The Vengeance Trilogy”) has teamed up with men’s clothing luxury brand Zegna to deliver the cinematic treatment–right down to a score by Clint Mansell (“Black Swan,” “Requiem for a Dream”).
“A Rose Reborn” was unveiled in four installments, according to the official site, and now the full director’s cut is available to view.
Presented by Ermenegildo Zegna and creative director Stefano Pilati, the film features Jack Huston (“American Hustle,” “Boardwalk Empire”) as a young C.E.O. who meets up with Jason Wu to go on a series of mysterious travels across the globe. Huston is ultimately on a quest to meet up with a Chinese billionaire who wants to merge with his own company. Predictably, very stylish suits are highlighted in this nearly 20-minute production.
