In these new videos from a press junket for John Madden’s “The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel,” the stars of the film sat down to share their insight on what it was like making the film, working with Madden, their characters and the new cast members. 

“I don’t think I remember saying ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to John Madden, I think it was taken as ‘yes’ straight away when the second one was mooted. And that was probably the same for all of us,” Dame Judi Dench shared in her interview, among other details about filming the second installment.

The actors also talked about how their characters grow in the second film, including Lillete Dubey, who talked about her character Mrs. Kapoor’s newfound vulnerability  and softness, and Tina Desai, who spoke of the expansion of her role as Sunaina.

Also starring Maggie Smith, Dev Patel, Richard Gere, Ronald Pickup and Diana Hardcastle, “The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” opens nationwide on March 6. Check out the interviews below:
