READ MORE: DP Reed Morano on Making it as a Cinematographer Regardless of the ‘Female Thing’
Following its premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, Reed Morano’s “Meadowland” has been acquired by Cinedigm for all North American distribution rights.
The film looks into the lives of a New York couple, played by Olivia Wilde and Luke Wilson, who suffer psychologically after a tragic loss. As they both try to deal with this emotional loss, they both lose sight of what’s important and find themselves in deeper trouble than they imagined.
“‘Meadowland’ is precisely the sort of compelling, filmmaker-driven and performance-driven work that makes independent film so exciting,” stated Cinedigm’s Yolanda Macias. “Wilde is electrifying and Wilson is heartbreaking in Morano’s remarkable debut. It is wonderful to be working with such a deeply talented team.”
The film is set for an October theatrical release.
