Watch: What America Means 21 Playwrights Hal Hartley's 'My America'

Director Hal Hartley ("Simple Men," "The Unbelievable Truth" ) brings us "My America," a film that compiles monologues from 21 playwrights about the collective American identity.

The monologues are written by some of America’s most renowned playwrights, including Neil LaBute, Danny Hoch, Dan Dietz and Marcus Gardley, and are read by actors including Jefferson Mays and Kathleen Chalfant, plus Hartley regular Thomas Jay Ryan.

Check out the trailer for the film below, which will be available on Fandor on the Fourth of July.
