The new sports drama “Tri” takes a long, hard look at just what it takes to complete a triathlon, and how far someone can push themselves to achieve. The film follows Natalie (Jensen Jacobs), an ultrasound tech with a history of not finishing things, who is inspired by a cancer patient to sign up for a triathlon. She’s soon introduced to the strange (and aerodynamic) world of triathletes and meets a bevy of colorful characters as she trains for the Nations Triathlon. With the support of her new teammates, she discovers just how far she’s willing to go. The film also stars Chris Williams (“Dodgeball”), Marla Aaron Wapner (“House of Cards”), Kenneth Simmons (“Kick-Ass”), Jaylen Moore (“Homeland”) and Tim Reid (“WKRP In Cincinnati”).
