From directors Sergio Andrade and Fabio Baldo comes “Time Was Endless,” which will have its world premiere at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival.

The film centers around Anderson, a native young man in conflict with his tribes’ leaders and the traditions of his people. Anderson decides to leave his community and live in the city center, but the old Shaman has plans to bring him back for one more ritual.

“Time Was Endless” explores a people rarely seen on film in either North or South America, but this is not Andrade’s first time filming those who live deep in the Amazon, nor is it his first time collaborating with Baldo. The two directors seem to be examining the conflict between tradition and modernity as seen in groups of indigenous people living in urban centers like Manaus.

The film will premiere on February 13 in Berlin. Watch the exclusive trailer above.
