Charting the rise and fall of once-great, now-gone music chain Tower Records, the doc took seven years to complete and included a successful Kickstarter campaign with over 1,600 backers. Is it ironic that the Internet saved this film after killing its subject? Everyone thinks the web destroyed Tower Records, but this film explores whether or not that’s the whole story. In 1999, the company made a (very cool) billion dollars. Seven years later, it filed for bankruptcy. What really happened? We’ll soon find out.
