A month-and-a-half after 17 people were killed in a school shooting in Parkland, Florida, the March for Our Lives is set to take place across the country. The main protest against gun violence is in Washington, D.C., which March for Our Lives itself will be live-streaming on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube beginning at noon EST.
It isn’t just the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and their supporters who will be in attendance. The event will also feature performances by Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Common, Andra Day, and Vic Mensa; in addition, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Ben Platt are performing “Found/Tonight,” a “Hamilton”/”Dear Evan Hansen” mashup the two recorded in support of March for Our Lives.
Among the more than 800 other cities hosting satellite marches is Los Angeles, where Amy Schumer, Connie Britton, Olivia Wilde, Skai Jackson, and Yara Shahidi will be speaking.
