Will Ferrell Revives George W. Bush on ‘@midnight’ to Slam Donald Trump — Watch
It’s been a while since we’ve last seen Will Ferrell‘s famous George W. Bush impression that he honed during his tenure on “Saturday Night Live,” but Ferrell revived the character on last night’s episode of “@midnight,” Comedy Central’s popular late night improv game show. In the segment, host Chris Hardwick tries to get Bush to commit to an endorsement of either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump for President, but though Bush spends most of the time slamming Trump, he still won’t pull the trigger on an official endorsement. The segment begins with Bush defending his cousin Billy Bush’s reputation after his lewd remarks said with Trump became public. “I just wanna say, we Bushes don’t act like that,” he says. “We have standards. We were raised a certain way. And we would never under any circumstances ride a bus.” He also goes on to say that Trump has retroactively improved his image, and that people have forgotten that he “invaded Iraq over WMD’s that weren’t there, destabilized an entire region…tanked the economy, [and] didn’t get Bin Laden.” He also denies Trump’s claim that the election is rigged: “The only thing that’s rigged is that stuffed Chupacabra on top of his head. I don’t know how he keeps it on there, but I sure hope Hillary knocks it off.”

Ferrell famously performed a one-man show as Bush entitled “You’re Welcome, America. A Final Night with George W. Bush” on Broadway. It was broadcast live on HBO on March 14, 2009.
