Mindy Kaling Mingles on ‘Sesame Street’ With An ‘Enthusiastic’ Elmo

Mindy Kaling and her extraordinarily cheerful friend Elmo are teaching kids new vocabulary on “Sesame Street”: In a clip from an episode that aired September 19, the “Mindy Project” creator and star showed that if she has to jump with chickens and rock out to a high tempo dance beat just so the tots can understand the word “enthusiastic,” she will. 

“You know what really makes me enthusiastic Elmo? Dancing with chickens,” Mindy reveals. Leave it to a comedian to make friends with the sullen fowl, who we discover do not share her enthusiasm for dancing. But even if the chickens don’t appreciate it, adult audiences will almost certainly appreciate Mindy and Elmo’s energetic effort.
