Roseanne” is coming off last week’s ratings high, settling in at a still-huge 15.2 million viewers in week two. The show also posted a 3.9 rating in the adults 18-49 demo.

The ABC sitcom easily dominated the night, and once again beat its four main competitors — CBS, NBC, Fox and The CW (3.6) — combined among adults 18-49 in its 8 p.m. time slot. That’s despite being down, as would be expected, from its huge Week 1 premiere (18.5 million viewers; 5.2 adults 18-49).

“Roseanne” performed best with women 25-54 (6 rating), but dominated in every measurement. That helped ABC lead the night among adults 18-49 (1.8 rating), although CBS still easily took Tuesday primetime in viewers (10.5 million), thanks to its powerhouse “NCIS”/”Bull”/”NCIS: New Orleans” combo.

The return of “Roseanne” to a half-hour on Tuesday also helped boost “The Middle” to a season high (2.2) at 8:30 p.m., making it the night’s No. 2 TV show in adults 18-49. ABC’s Tuesday comedy block also won all four of its half-hours from 8 to 10 p.m., improving the block by 80% vs. last year (1.8 vs. 1.0 on April 4, 2017) in the demo.

Last night’s “Roseanne” was also the highest adult 18-49 rating for any non-premiere comedy telecast since CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory” on December 17, 2015.

Meanwhile, “Roseanne” premiere ratings continue to impress; now that three days’ worth of VOD and on-demand data is included, ABC reports that the premiere jumped to 25 million viewers — making it a higher-viewed telecast than this year’s Oscars. The playback numbers also bumped that adults 18-49 number up to 7.3.

That means the “Roseanne” premiere (which consisted of two episodes) now has the largest time-shifted gains for any single telecast of the season so far in viewers (+6.59 million) and adults 18-49 (+2.1 rating points), better than the Live +3 increases of NBC’s post-Super Bowl broadcast of “This Is Us” (+5.72 million and +2.0 rating points).

Meanwhile, Comcast’s Xfinity On Demand is also reporting huge numbers for “Roseanne” on its service. The show’s one-hour premiere was Xfinity On Demand’s most-watched program of the week of March 26. And specifically, there were 1.3 million views of the premiere episode on XOD last week.

Also, 22 percent of Comcast’s X1 households watched the premiere in Live + 3. The premiere outperformed the Season 2 return of “This Is Us,” which was a previous high benchmark for the service.
