Based on the book of the same name by Marcus Sakey, “Good People” teaches the important lesson that nothing in life is free. Henrik Ruben Genz directed the film (his first English language feature), which stars Kate Hudson and James Franco as Tom and Anna Reed, a down-and-out couple who are trying to renovate their home. When they find a large, mysterious lump of cash, they us it to pay their bills. Soon after, complications set in and they are pulled into something bigger as they discover the shocking truth of where the money came from.
In this exclusive clip, Tom reveals to Anna that, in order to keep their family from being evicted, he’s had to spend some of the money. Fittingly for the film’s suburban themes, this plot-launching conversation takes place on a jog. “Good People” opens September 26. Check out the clip below:
