Watch out — dragons and spoilers lurk below. Actually, that’s only half-true. None of the 20 photos featured below actually showcase the legendary beasts that make “Game of Thrones” so distinctive and instead spotlight the large ensemble cast that’s the show’s real source of drama and terror.

While there’s no sign of Jon Snow, nearly all of your other living favorites can be seen wearing various degrees of dirt and hinting at key changes to their characters — like Cersei’s haircut and Arya’s eye issues.
The biggest spoiler of all: Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) grew the hell up. (Though for those tempted to analyze why he might be standing in this shot, HBO notes that this scene is “from a vision sequence.”)
