After winning the Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative Feature at the 2014 SXSW Film Festival, “Fort Tilden” is finally getting ready to premiere in theaters this summer.

The comedy stars Clare McNulty and Bridey Elliott as Allie and Harper, two millennials struggling with their quarter-life crises, who decide to blow off their responsibilities for the day to go to a secluded beach with two guys. Throughout the film, Allie procrastinates preparing to join the Peace Corps and Harper waits for money from her father to pursue her unclear artistic dreams, all while facing new challenges along the way.

The film will be released in New York on August 14 and in Los Angeles in mid-August, with a national release to follow. Check out the bright, angsty poster for “Fort Tilden” above.
