It’s easy to lose track of all the new movies revealed week after week as the fall film festival season continues. Oscar buzz keeps building as more contenders keep jumping into the race; meanwhile, other movies scramble to find distribution — or any attention at all.
On Monday night, Screen Talk co-hosts Eric Kohn and Anne Thompson gathered with a packed room at the New York Film Festival to record this week’s episode and started out with a question: “Why are we here?” Over the course of the episode, which also included a lively audience Q&A, they sought some answers.
