CBS Films has acquired North American rights to U.S. dramatic competition film “Toy’s House,” from writer Chris Galletta and director Jordan Vogt-Roberts. The drama first screened Saturday at the Library Theatre.

Nick Robinson, Gabriel Basso, Moises Arias, Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, Alison Brie, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Erin Moriarty, Marc Evan Jackson, Thomas Middleditch and Tony Hale star in the story of three teenage boys who try to make a life in the wilderness. Tyler Davidson of Low Spark Films, Peter Saraf of Big Beach and John Hodges are the producers with Richard Rothfeld and Jordan Vogt-Roberts serving as executive producers.

“While comparisons to movies like ‘Stand By Me’ and ‘The Goonies’ are inevitable, we found ‘Toy’s House’ to be a fresh, funny and heartwarming story that is a loving throwback for a new generation,” said CBS Films acquisitions exec Scott Shooman.

Cinetic Media repped the sale for the filmmakers.

CBS Films picked up U.S. rights to the Bradley Cooper drama “The Words” at the 2012 festival.
