‘The Imitation Game’ Wins the People’s Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival
“The Imitation Game” was the big winner on the last day of the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival, netting the People’s Choice Award, the event’s top honor. Last year’s winner, “12 Years a Slave,” went on to win Best Picture at the Academy Awards.
“The Imitation Game,” directed by Morten Tyldum (“Headhunters”), stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Alan Turing, the mathematician and computer pioneer who broke the Enigma code during WWII. Keira Knightley and Matthew Goode co-star in the drama. The Weinstein Company release opens in select theaters November 21.
